Article: How to preserve your wedding bouquet from the US

How to preserve your wedding bouquet from the US

You chose France for your wedding day. The château, the light, the ceremony, the flowers. Everything was perfect. It was an experience unlike any other. And now you're wondering what happens to your bouquet, whether it's possible to preserve it when you're flying home to the US, and what that actually involves.

The answer is yes. Here is exactly how it works.

Getting married in Europe as an American Couple

Why American couples choose Europe for their wedding

France, Italy, Greece, Spain : Europe has become one of the most sought-after destinations for American couples planning a wedding abroad. The venues, the landscapes, the food, the light. A destination wedding in Europe is a different kind of celebration.

It also comes with a different kind of logistics. And your bouquet is one of them.

What to do with your bouquet when you're flying home

Most American couples don't think about their bouquet until the morning after the wedding. By then, the wedding flowers have been out of water for hours. The window to preserve them properly is closing.

This is the moment that matters. What you do in the 24 hours after your wedding determines whether your bouquet can be transformed into something that lasts, or whether it becomes a keepsake you can only find in photographs.

How the Process Works from the US

If you're getting married in Europe : White Glove collection

If your wedding takes place anywhere in Europe, we collect your bouquet directly. The morning after your wedding, before 1pm, a dedicated courier arrives at your venue or hotel. You hand over your bouquet. We handle everything from there.

Whether your wedding is in Paris, Provence, Tuscany, Santorini, or the Algarve : our White Glove collection service covers the whole of Europe. You do not need to arrange shipping. You do not need to be present. You simply enjoy your wedding.

What happens after we receive your flowers

From the moment your bouquet arrives at our atelier in Alsace, it enters a 12-week creation process. Conservation. Chromatic restoration : a hand process performed from your wedding photographs, restoring the exact colour intensity of each flower. Each creation is a work of art, sealed under 99% anti-UV museum glass.

Then we bring your artwork to you.

Your creation is packaged in a custom-built protective box, designed specifically to withstand international transit. It ships directly to your US address, fully tracked, with insurance covering the full value of the artwork.

You receive a tracking number the moment your package leaves our atelier.

Delivery to the US is included in the price of your creation. No additional shipping fees, no hidden costs.

Understanding the costs

Pricing in euros : what that means for US customers

Our prices are in euros. Depending on the exchange rate, this can feel significant : a creation at €1,550 is approximately $1,800 at current rates, though this varies (updated June 2, 2026).

What that price includes is worth understanding. Every creation at Les Joyaux Purs comes with chromatic restoration, museum glass, artisan framing, and worldwide delivery. There are no hidden costs, no add-ons, no surprises at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay.

Shipping and collection costs

If your wedding is in Europe, White Glove collection is included in the price of your creation. A dedicated courier collects your bouquet the morning after your wedding, at no additional cost.

Delivery of your finished artwork to the US is included in the price of your creation. No additional shipping fees.
